Carl Stanifer (Chairman of the Board)
Carl Stanifer joined TVM Capital Healthcare Partners in 2014 and works independently, serving as board member and strategic advisor to several health care companies in the Middle East including being the Chairman of CMRC Limited and Manzil Healthcare Services. Additionally, Mr. Stanifer is Non‐Executive Chairman of Arabian International Healthcare Holding Co. (“Tibbiyah”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Al Faisaliah Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Stanifer has extensive experience in health care operations, financial management, acquisitions, new company start-ups, and new facility development; and successfully served as CEO of Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (“SEHA”) for seven years following its formation by Emiri Decree in 2007.Prior to joining SEHA, he was Group Chief Financial Officer, Bumrungrad Hospital Public Company Limited in Bangkok, Thailand. Prior to joining Bumrungrad, Mr. Stanifer was Chairman and President of start-up VISTA Healthcare Asia Pte. Ltd., in Singapore. For several years prior to VISTA, he worked for U.S.-based Tenet Healthcare Corporation where he held several senior positions including Senior Vice President, Operations of their International Healthcare Division.
Mr. Stanifer also served in the International Division of Hospital Corporation of America (“HCA”) where he worked with the Singapore Ministry of Health to implement restructuring of MOH hospitals from civil service to private ownership. Prior to HCA, when he began his global healthcare career, he worked with several U.S. based healthcare companies, beginning in 1970 upon completion of undergraduate studies.Mr. Stanifer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of the Cumberlands, and conducted graduate studies in Health Planning and Administration at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Helmut Schuehsler (Board Director)
Dr. Schuehsler has dedicated his career to exploring new horizons as an investor, pursuing innovation and building teams and businesses, sometimes from scratch, sometimes in new regions, and always in healthcare and with an eye on products or services that address unmet medical needs and promote societal progress. In the process he has gained extensive operating and investment experience across continents, catalyzing healthcare innovation in West and East.
He started his investment management career at Horizonte Venture Management in Vienna, Austria, and joined TVM Capital in Munich in 1990. During his tenure with the TVM Capital group of companies, Dr. Schuehsler started biotech investing in Germany and made TVM Capital the leading and largest life science investor in Germany, led the development of the firm into one of the leading pan-European investors, as well as spearheaded the opening of offices in Boston, Dubai and Singapore.
Dr. Schuehsler has been the deal leader on more than 35 direct investments in life science and healthcare companies in Europe, the U.S., the Middle East and India. In total he has raised more than US$1bn, has overseen more than 120 investments in the health market, and more than 50 IPOs and 30 M&A exit transactions in the portfolio.
Currently he is chairman of Bourn Hall International and Manzil Health Care Services, a director at Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Dayarn Pharmaceuticals and F-star Group of Companies.
Dr. Jad Aoun(Board Director)
Dr. Jad Aoun currently holds the position of Chief Business Development Officer at NMC. Prior to this he was the Chief Medical Officer (“CMO”) at the National Health Insurance – Daman, UAE’s leading specialized health insurer, providing comprehensive health insurance solutions to about 3 million members in the UAE.

Dr Aoun joined Daman in 2006 as Operations Director, responsible for the medical side of the business before transitioning into the CMO position wherein now he looks after medical strategy, services, community health management and provider relations.
Dr. Aoun over 20 years experience in healthcare, including four years as a GP, and was involved in the creation of the Thiqa programme for UAE nationals. Dr. Aoun has previously worked in India for Munich Re, where he was Vice President of Operations, as well as holding senior roles with MedNet in Saudi Arabia, and in Lebanon for Securité Assurances. Dr. Aoun holds an MD from Latvia, which he gained at the Latvian Medical Academy in Riga.
Mohamad El-Hage (Co-Founder, Advisor, Board Director)
Mohamad El-Hage is an Operating Partner and the Managing Director of the Operations Group within the TVM Capital Healthcare team. As part of his Operating Partner role he is the CFO of portfolio companies Manzil Health Care Services as well as Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, both headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Mohamad brings more than 15 years of finance and strategy experience at renowned firms Pricewaterhouse Coopers, JP Morgan Chase, Booz Allen Hamilton, Unifund Capital and The Executive Office of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, based in offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Beirut and New York City serving the MENA and U.S. markets.
His finance track record entails executing tens of transactions and investment exercises worth more than US$ 5 billion, and his strategy experience includes the planning, incubation and development of several significant projects, including a $ 10B foundation for social development.
Mohamad holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in Northwestern University, and a BBA from the American University of Beirut. He has also completed the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) licensure from the State of New Hampshire in 1999.
Dr. Khalil El Atab (Co-Founder, CEO )
Dr. El Atab is a physician with 9 years of clinical practice and over 14 years of industry expertise in healthcare management.
He brings powerful relationships with key payors and regulatory authorities, and was instrumental in setting up the revenue cycle functions at CMRC & Manzil.

Previous to this, he served as Director of Revenue Cycle Management for Al Zahra Group of Hospitals (Dubai), Corporate Claims Operations Manager for Al Noor Hospitals Group, led the inpatient Medical Investigation and Audit in Daman National Health Insurance Company in UAE, and is a member of the Lebanese Order of Physicians.
Dr. Olha Kozyavkina (Board Director)
Child neurologist, candidate of Medical Sciences, Laureate of the State Award of Ukraine, Vice-President of Kozyavkin Medical Group, Medical Director of Medical Rehabilitation (Cyprus)
She provides leadership and direction for the overall operation and development of the Professor Kozyavkin Method at the international level, including cooperation with strategic business partners.
